Carol VanArtsdalen

Carol is one of the founding members of The Haiti Health Trust and currently acts as board secretary. Carol is a physiotherapist by profession and has visited Haiti numerous times with her husband Jim. Alongside the day to day administration of THHT, she helps lead our teams to Haiti and is very actively involved in her local church – First Presbyterian Church, Bethlehem, PA.

Meredith Hutchinson

Meredith studied Economic and Political Development at Columbia University. Since then she’s been engaged in a number of US and international social projects, including living in Haiti for 6 months. She currently works for the International Rescue Committee, helping to head up their Vision not Victim project, a project Meredith personally founded. Meredith helps bring in a wealth of programmatic experience.

Michael Goldsmith

Michael lives in Missouri and is the COO of Viable US, a shipping and fulfillment company. Outside of work he is an accomplished designer having managed his own marketing company and helps with THHT campaigns and marketing. He travels to Haiti as often as possible helping with a range of projects. Michael is also on the leadership team and serves as an elder at his local church – The Bridge.

Carwyn Hill

Carwyn is a founding member of THHT, and has over ten years of experience working in Haiti as CEO of UK NGO, Haiti Hospital Appeal (HHA) which he helped co-found. His time working for HHA has included living in Haiti for 5 years and managing a range of projects, including programmes on behalf of UN, USAID, UKAID and others.

Andrea Nichols

Licensed and registered occupational therapist, has a strong passion for promoting independence for children and adults with physical and developmental disabilities. She specializes in treating adults with stroke, brain injury and spinal cord injury. After being introduced to the needs of Haiti through medical service trips it is her passion to help strengthen the relationships and partnerships of individuals and organizations to support the mission on THHT.

Lisa Clauser

Lisa currently serves as the THHT Board Treasurer. She and her husband, John, share 4 children and 6 grandchildren. Lisa actively serves in various roles at her church, helps with Feed the Families food pantry fundraisers and assists with Operation Christmas Child in her community. She recently retired from a business career that spanned over 31 years at a local community college. During those years she processed financial aid, held the positions of accounts payable bookkeeper, payroll bookkeeper and payroll coordinator which included Human Resource duties, tax reporting and the reconciliation of all payroll and benefit accounts.

Ken Telfort

Born and raised in Haiti, Ken studied Medical Technology at Kean University, Project Management at Stevens Institute of Technology and earned his MBA at DeSales University. Ken worked in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries in companies such as Johnson and Johnson, Pfizer and the American Red Cross. He currently works for the medical device company B.Braun Medical, Inc. Ken brings a vast array of experience and expertise in project management and operational excellence to the organization.
