US Ambassador Visits THHT projects

It’s been an exciting start to 2013 in Haiti, with some fantastic developments at the hospital we support.  The new Inclusive Sports Center, which THHT have helped equip and train staff at, officially opened, and already has over 60 members.

Last week, Fritzner and Paralympian Leon, two of the spinal patients who now work at the sports center, were amongst a number of our staff and patients who were able to welcome the US Ambassador of Haiti to the project.

Pamela A. White, who became US Ambassador to Haiti last July, was shown around a number of departments at the hospital we help support, including the Maternity and Paediatric Unit’s, two projects we’re actively fundraising for.

Staff supported by THHT felt privileged to welcome the delegation onto the site, which included members of USAID and Chemonics, who have partnered with the Hospital through HHA over the last few years, and helped support some significant developments.

It was a fantastic start to the year, and left all of the staff in Haiti excited for 2013.
