Flooding in Northern Haiti

With heavy hearts we are hearing more news and reports about the devastating flooding in Northern Haiti. Cap Haitien is the largest city in this affected areas and also where HCBH, the hospital we support, is located. Currently, there is a team of 3 nurses from Lehigh Valley Health Network on the ground in Haiti. We received news that they are safe. The staff at the hospital persevere to provide care to patients. Hurricane Matthew Update

Great thanks to our many supporters! Working in partnership with organizations like Hope Health Action and Konbit Sante: Cap-Haitien Health Partnership we have been able to provide essential support by TACKLING CHOLERA ON TWO FRONTS. Alongside the extensive re-building that is required in parts of Haiti, the danger of a cholera resurgence is real and should be a priority concern for health institutions. Cholera has claimed many thousands of lives since the 2010 earthquake so we are taking this threat seriously and focusing our relief efforts on minimizing the spread of this disease.
